Moving Forward With Research
Advancing the Bowen Therapy Profession Through Research
The BTFA is very committed to growing research capacity, with the aim of producing more research that validates our modality and gains the recognition it deserves as an important part of the complementary and mainstream health landscape. Rigorous research about Bowen Therapy strengthens our profession and provides guidance for therapists to be safe and effective in practice.
Contributing to advancing research about our profession can be every practitioner’s business. From individual practitioners recording the outcomes of their clinical practice using validated tools, to therapists engaging in partnerships with university teams to undertake more complex studies.
The BTFA Research website provides information and resources to help practitioners grow their knowledge and skills about research, including how to engage in simple, practitioner-based research activity.
