B-EAGER Initiative

We are proud to announce the B-EAGER Initiative!

B-EAGER stands for Bowen – Education & Advocacy, Generating Evidence & Research.

Who Are We?

We are a collaborative initiative established to build a stronger, evidence-informed future for Bowen Therapy and Oncology Massage in Australasia.

Formed in 2024 and officially launched in August 2025, B-EAGER brings together key professional and training organisations to:

  • Foster shared leadership in research and education
  • Unite our professions under a common research agenda
  • Advocate for thoughtful, ethical, and rigorous data collection
  • Strengthen our collective voice in health policy and education

At the heart of our work is the belief that building research capacity empowers practitioners to contribute meaningfully to the evolution of care. By supporting case reporting, outcome measures, and academic partnerships, we’re creating space for real-world insights to be translated into credible, publishable research.

Practitioner engagement is key to the success of the initiative.

Bowen Therapy and Oncology Massage are hands-on modalities that support clients with complex and chronic conditions. By integrating formal tools to gather evidence, we become trusted messengers in the health system. By working together, we are shaping a more visible, credible, and confident future for these professions.
