Case Study 4

Fibromyalgia, American College of Rheumatology

In a study of twenty clients diagnosed with fibromyalgia conducted by Jo Anne Whitaker, M.D., at the American College of Rheumatology, almost all participants experienced various degrees of relief which lasted from a few days to several weeks.  Bowen therapy maintained complete clinical remission. Bowen Therapy in Diabetes

This research study looks at structural integration and improvements in sensory perception associated with peripheral neuropathy a problem with diabetes. The article refers to Rolfing. Bowen Therapy is also a powerful structural integration modality but more gentle than rolfing. more

Bowen Therapy can stimulate electrical activity and self organising mechanisms

This study illustrates how myofascial therapy stimulates electrical activity and hypothesises that this in turn stimulates physiological self-organising mechanisms associated with body balance and homeostatis. more

Bowen Therapy in Stress Related Vasocontriction

This study shows how fascial therapy, in this case associated with pulsology, can have a beneficial effect on hypertension and the vascular endothelium. more
